Trying to find the murderer seemed next to impossible in the town of Wells, the thought of someone being on the loose and ready to kill an innocent person was scary for everyone. This was difficult for Sam because he was never very confident with his job, but after talking to the family he gained confidence. Sam had do his duty as a police officer and tell the family about the mans death. In the generation when the story took place being black was wrong which meant it took time for Sam and tibbs to get along with each other and for Sam to come to realization that having a friend who is an African American isn't so bad, even though it is tough for Sam to admit. Searching him down for weapons Sam came across a thick wallet loaded with money, but then later found out it was because the black male name Virgil tibbs was a police officer passing through from California who ends up helping to solve the murder mystery. There are also a lot of goals that lead you into caves and other enclosed areas. Each level also has one goal devoted to chasing the evil Mario clone around and hosing him down until he gives up and gives you a shine. Each level has at least one mandatory red coin collection goal, and some of them must be performed within certain time limits. Others, such as the goals that let you surf on the back of a small squidlike creature, feel more like minigames.Īlso making the transition from Super Mario 64 are the red coin challenges-you'll simply be sent on a scavenger hunt looking for a certain number of these coins. Some of them are as simple as getting to a certain spot in the level and fighting a boss for the prize or racing another character to a specific place in the level. Each episode starts with a brief look around the level that almost always shows you exactly what you need to do within a couple of seconds. The level goals are often pretty straightforward, as you can solve practically any problem you come across by simply shooting it with water. There is a total of 120 shines in Super Mario Sunshine, but you can finish the game with less than half that number. Each one of the levels contains eight episodes, and completing an episode always results in obtaining a shine. Just in like Super Mario 64, each level is broken up into multiple sequential objectives, meaning you'll have to reenter each level multiple times before you're finished with it. Aside from the hub area and brief intro and finale sections, the game contains seven levels. It also has a rather large collection of secrets to uncover. The hub area is large and nicely detailed and has enough different routes to the game's different level entry points to keep you from having to spend any serious length of time running from one place to another. The new game's equivalent of Mario 64's overworld castle is the town square. It attempts to fill them by not straying far from the previous game's formula. Of course, previous Mario games were also outstanding, so Super Mario Sunshine has some big shoes to fill. Super Mario Sunshine has a lot in common with 1996's Super Mario 64, an incredible game that set the standard for every 3D platformer that's been made since. Along the way, princesses will be kidnapped, ooze will be washed away, and large numbers of "shines"-the game's equivalent to Super Mario 64's stars-will be collected. Mario's sentence is to clean up the island with the help of FLUDD, a water cannon that you wear on your back. It seems that the island is covered in graffiti and pollution, and the person responsible happens to look enough like Mario to lead to a sitcom-style case of mistaken identity. But Mario's vacation dreams are cut short immediately after landing at the island's airstrip. Super Mario Sunshine opens with Mario and his entourage escaping the daily grind of the Mushroom Kingdom by flying to the paradise of Isle Delfino for a holiday. Super Mario Sunshine is the first new Mario platformer in six years. Once you get past the excitement over the fact that the latest Mario game is finally here, you'll find a game that's generally pleasing but heavily reliant on a few new moves that seem more like gimmicks than gameplay innovations. Super Mario Sunshine is the first truly major release on Nintendo's GameCube, and it is the first starring role for Nintendo's most recognizable character on the system. So, inevitably, games like Super Mario Sunshine are eagerly anticipated. You always get the impression that games featuring these characters are going to be given a little extra polish to ensure that everything comes together just right, even if it means that the game has to be delayed for months or years at a time. Nintendo's software lineup has always revolved around a core group of major characters who appear in games that, more often than not, turn into system sellers. Nobody ever decided to bring Mother Shipton to trial. She reportedly told them what she saw would happen to them if they hurt her. According to legend, she once revealed some of her visions to people who tried to blackmail her. She was warned many times that her activities might lead her to be burnt as a witch. Ursula Shipton was famous, so people traveled to Knaresborough from far away. She was a very successful adviser who helped people in many ways. She wrote down her prophecies, and perhaps she was also a healer. Mother Shipton was known as a person with the gift of clairvoyance. In 1530, Wolsey fell out of favor with the King, and set out to find refuge in the north, he was within sight of York when Lord Percy arrived with a King's summons calling him back to London to face a charge for his actions. One of the most famous stories connected with the court is about Cardinal Wolsey (Mitred Peacock). According to Mother Shipton’s visions, he would see York without reaching it. Although they didn't have children, they stayed together without any scandals. According to resources, the Shiptons’ marriage was comfortable and happy. Locals said that she may have used a love potion to bring about the marriage. Ursula finally married Toby Shipton, a local carpenter, in 1512. Some were afraid of her, but for many she was like a magnet. She became a popular person in society as well. No matter how bad she is said to have looked, Ursula’s growing reputation as a witch made her an attractive prospect for many men. ( chris 論 / CC BY 3.0 ) The Fame of the Local Witch All of her life has been connected with Mother Shipton’s Cave – the site where she practiced her craft, learned about flowers and herbs, searched for visions and, intentionally or not, created a mysterious legend about herself. It is unknown when her prophetic visions began. She was very connected with nature, the forest, and her own thoughts. Ursula grew up as a lonely child, focused on her inner world. ( Wellcome Trust ) Some people supposedly heard terrible noises upon the birth of Ursula, which they saw as proof of her being a daughter of the devil. But then Agatha went to a nunnery and Ursula was allegedly taken in by a local family.Īn image said to be a portrait of Mother Shipton. For the first two years of Ursula’s life her mother raised her in that cave. According to the people who lived around it, that was proof that Ursula was a daughter of the Devil. Legends say that upon her birth terrible noises like thunder were heard from the cave. She also reportedly had a full set of teeth when she was born. Her head was too big, her cheeks were sunken, her limbs were twisted and her eyes supposedly glowed like embers. Ursula was reputedly born very ugly and grotesquely deformed. Her mother was Agatha Southeil, who was only 15 years old when she gave birth to Ursula. Mother Shipton was born as Ursula Southeil in 1488. The place of her birth, now known as Mother Shipton’s Cave, continues to be a famous site linked to stories of witches and prophecy. According to legend, one of the most famous mystical women of England was born in a cave in Knaresborough, Yorkshire. This gentleman at PCLoadLetter has prepared excellent packages that make it MUCH easier than before to get CrashPlan running on your Synology. Step by Step: How to run CrashPlan on your Synology NAS Running CrashPlan headless (headless - there is no monitor) has been the final piece I needed for a simple process that requires no effort on my part. The missing piece since I got the Synology has been a completely silent cloud archive. I like that DropBox is automatic, the Synology can backup to another external automatically, so I only have to think about rotating drives off-site every month, or at least a few times a year. If you have to think about it, it is likely to be forgotten. There are also non-cloud-based backup strategies if you don't have persistent fast internet. Sure, these guys might use S3 underneath, but as a consumer (or pro-sumer) I don't need to know or see that. S3 is great, but it's not an awesome cloud backup experience like some of the more consumer focused backup systems like CrashPlan* or BackBlaze. The Synology does support Amazon S3 as a remote backup location, but I find the opacity of my digital blobs in Amazon's S3 buckets systems frustrating. However, the lack of a good integrated cloud storage setup has been a frustration. I have four 2TB drives in my Synology giving me approximately 5TB of redundant space. I've even lost a whole drive and just repaired it by pulling it out and replacing it. I can add a drive of any size and get more storage, I can install add-in packages for more functionality, and most importantly, everything has multiple copies.
